The Mission Committee is sponsoring a project for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. They are asking people to fill buckets with a specific list of cleaning items. The filled buckets will be donated to PDA, and then delivered to areas that have been devasted by storms or other natural disasters. If needed, our buckets may be delivered to victims of the recent Oklahoma tornadoes. If Oklahoma’s needs are filled, then our buckets will be stored by PDA and will be ready to send to the next area in need.
It’s easy to fill a bucket! The Mission Committee has provided a list of items needed for each disaster bucket. Yes – many supplies are needed for each bucket! The Mission Committee is encouraging several families or a group of people to partner together to fill a bucket. Individuals and families are also welcome to buy several items on the list to donate. No time to shop? Cash donations are also accepted. The Mission Committee will do the shopping for you.
All items needs to be returned to the church by Sunday, June 23. The Mission Committee will pack the buckets and the youth leaders will deliver them to PDA during their mission trip later this month.
