The Mission Committee is once again sponsoring the Operation Christmas Child project at our church. The project involves filling a shoe box with small gifts, school supplies, and personal items for a child. The boxes are shipped overseas and distributed to millions of children in over 100 countries during the holiday season. Donors can designate whether their gift is appropriate for a boy or girl, and choose an age category. A small fee of $7 needs to be included with the box to cover shipping and project expenses by the Samaritan’s Purse Organization. The box can also be wrapped, but on the outside only. The contents must remain unwrapped, allowing them available for inspection.
Shoe boxes are available at the church, along with a brochure which includes instructions and a label. Wrapping templates are also available at the church. Please return your filled shoe box to the church by November 18. If you have questions or need additional information, please contact Carol R. from the Mission Committee or the Church Office.
