Tackle Hunger with the Souper Bowl of Caring

IMG_1188

February 1 is Souper Bowl Sunday!

In 1990, the Souper Bowl of Caring began with a simple prayer from a single youth group, “Lord, even as we enjoy the Super bowl football game, help us be mindful of those without a bowl of soup to eat.”

In the past twenty-five years, the Souper Bowl of Caring has raised more than $100 million for local charities across the country, transforming the time around Super Bowl weekend into the nation’s largest celebration of giving and serving.

Help FPC be a part of this national movement. Bring a canned good this Sunday or add a monetary donation to the soup pot in the narthex. Items collected will be donated locally to the food pantry at Community Health Ministry.
